Babysitter Training | 11-14 | $88 | 50 min | To provide 11-14yr olds who are planning to babysit with the knowledge and skills necessary to safely and responsibly give care for children and infants. This training will help participants to develop leadership skills; learn how to develop a babysitting business, keep themselves and others safe and help children behave; and learn about basic child care and basic first aid. The recommended age for this course is 11-14yrs old. If seeking certification additional fees will be collected at the conclusion of the course, pending the successful completion of skills and written examinations. There are three different levels of certification and fees: Babysitting certification only ($13.00), Babysitter Certification and Pediatric CPR/AED/First Aid Certifications ($30.00), or Babysitter Certification, Adult and Pediatric CPR/AED/First Aid Certifications ($45.00). | Student Recreation Center (SRC), Climbing Gym |

Instruction will include the proper use of the cue stick and rack, along with basic rules and etiquette. Bowling | 8-14 | $88 | 50 min | This class will cover fundamental bowling skills such as ball selection, grip, stance, footwork, delivery and approach to foul line, release, and follow through. Disc Golf & Ultimate Frisbee | 10-14 | $88 | 50 min | Participants will learn basic grips, throws, and catches. Game strategies and tactics for both disc golf and Ultimate will be taught. Lacrosse | 10-14 | $88 | 50 min | This class will focus on learning the fundamental skills used in Lacrosse (e.g., scooping, passing, cradling), as well as rules, strategy, and tactics used in both small and large game settings. Mountain Biking Basics | 10-14 | $170 | 1 hr 50 min | Space is limited to 10 seats. This class will introduce participants to basic bike mechanics (e.g., changing a flat tire, fixing a dropped chain), learn road safety (e.g., hand signals and rules of road), along with trail etiquette. Participants will be guided off-campus for bike rides along the Boise greenbelt and up into the foothills at Military Reserve. Level of riding will be dictated by the overall skill level of the class. All participants will need to bring their own mountain bike (with gears and hand brakes), helmet, and water bottle. Outdoor Adventure/ Team Building Activities | 10-14 | $170 | 1 hr 50 min | This class includes time for lunch (brown bag lunch brought from home). This class is designed to expose participants to activities in the outdoors. Activities may include orienteering, knot tying, geo-caching, fishing, and collaborative games. Quidditch | 8-14 | $88 | 50 min | Come be a seeker and find the golden snitch! Learn how to fly a Nimbus 2000 playing Quidditch! This class will teach participants the basics of Quidditch from the famous Harry Potter series. Racquet Activities | 8-14 | $88 | 50 min | Racquet activities involve instruction in basic racquet skills including forehand and backhand strokes and may include badminton, table tennis, racquetball, and pickleball. Rock Climbing – I | 8-10 | $88 | 50 min | This class will be held in the BSU Student Recreation Center. The climbing wall is state of the art and will challenge any and all skill levels. Basic safety and climbing skill instruction will be provided by certified rock climbing instructors. This class is always the kids’ favorite and is geared toward younger ages and first time climbers! Rock Climbing – II | 11-14 | $88 | 50 min | This class will be held in the BSU Student Recreation Center. The climbing wall is state of the art and will challenge any and all skill levels. Basic safety and climbing skill instruction will be provided by certified rock climbing instructors. Rock Climbing – Advanced | 8-14 | $88 | 50 min | This class will be held in the BSU Student Recreation Center. The climbing wall is state of the art and will challenge all skill levels. Youth taking this class must have taken a rock climbing class from us in a previous year/session or have/know the basic body movements and rappelling techniques. Basic safety and climbing skill instruction will be provided by certified rock climbing instructors. Soccer Activities | 8-14 | $88 | 50 min | This class will work on developing students’ basic to intermediate foot skills (dribbling, passing, trapping, scoring), as well as sportsmanship and team play. Swimming | 5-14 | $88 | 45 min | This class will offer basic, intermediate, and advanced swimming skill instruction. Your child will be assessed at the beginning of the session to determine a developmentally appropriate class level. Student-to-instructor ratios will be approximately 5:1 for those with beginning skills and 8:1 for those with more advanced skills. | Kinesiology Annex Building, Pool |

Tumbling for Beginners | 8-14 | $88 | 50 min | This class will take an educational gymnastics approach focusing on learning basic tumbling skills. Learning activities will develop skills in locomotor movement patterns, static and dynamic balance, and rotation. This is intended for beginners and those with some level of skill. Volleyball Activities | 8-14 | $88 | 50 min | Students will learn the basic motor skills used (e.g., forehand pass, overhead set, hitting at the net, underhand & overhead serves) used volleyball. Alternate activities may include wallyball (volleyball play in racquetball courts). Rules, basic strategy and tactics will be practiced in both small and large games for both activities.
