Jeremiah Lukers, DAT, LAT, ATC, CSCS, TSAC-F

Jeremiah Lukers joined the faculty at Boise State University in 2025. Prior to that, Dr. Lukers was an Associate Professor at Emmanuel University. He earned his Doctor of Athletic Training (DAT) from A. T. Still University. Jeremiah earned a Master of Educational Psychology degree from the University of Arizona while working as a graduate assistant athletic trainer. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from Lindenwood University. He has been a licensed athletic trainer in Arizona, Pennsylvania, and Georgia with over 15 years of clinical experience. As well, he has 10 years of experience in higher education teaching undergraduate and graduate students. He earned his certification (Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, CSCS) from the National Strength and Conditioning Association in 2009; and, in the fall of 2022, Jeremiah completed the Tactical Strength and Condition Facilitator (TSAC-F) certificate through the NSCA.

Dr. Lukers’ research interests focus on injury prevention, promoting third-party reimbursement (TPR) for the athletic training profession, and epidemiology related to sports medicine. He volunteers for the National Athletic Training Association (NATA) Board of Certification (BOC) Exam Develop Committee (EDC) to write test items for the certification exam. Dr. Lukers assists the NSCA’s Council on Accreditation of Strength and Conditioning Education (CASCE) peer-review as many colleges and universities prepare for the new 2030 standards. 

Outside of his academic work, he enjoys spending time running, reading, cooking, and watching college football.
