Assistant Professor, School of Kinesiology
Hello everyone! My name is Nathan Goslin-Klemme (please call me Nate)! I’m very excited to join the team and be a part of the Boise State University team this year!
I’m originally from Bellevue, IA where I completed my undergraduate studies in Kinesiology at Loras College. Afterwards I completed my M.S. in human performance at University of Minnesota State, Mankato. Most recently, I graduated with my doctorate degree in exercise physiology from Oregon State University! My specialty is strength and conditioning, exercise testing and prescription, and my primary research was centered in physical activity assessment using wearable devices like pedometers and accelerometers.
Outside of school, when I moved to Oregon, I transitioned from being a flatwater canoeist and camper to a whitewater guide in Oregon and Washington during the summer. My first white water trip was in 2021 and since then I have paddled over 90 different stretches of whitewater ranging from class II-V in numerous states and countries – I love it! Other than paddling, you will likely catch me around different hiking trails, or see me swimming or resistance training to build up my resistance to falling out of rafts and being upside down in kayaks!
