Publish open access with ease and save through Albertsons Library’s read and publish agreements

Albertsons Library is pleased to share that, in partnership with the Statewide California Electronic Library Consortium (SCELC), Boise State University has joined 71 participating institutions in a Read and Publish agreement with Sage Publishing. The agreement is designed to support authors in sharing their research widely.

Under this agreement, corresponding authors affiliated with Boise State University can increase the impact and recognition of their work by publishing open access in eligible Sage hybrid journals at no cost. Authors who choose to publish in Sage Gold open access journals will also receive a discounted rate.

How does it work?

  1. Get started: Visit the SCELC author guide to review the agreement between SCELC and Sage Publishing.
  2. Check journal eligibility: With more than 1,000 eligible hybrid journals, ensure the journal you wish to publish in is included in this agreement.
  3. Submit your paper: Once your article is accepted, the article publishing charge (APC) will be covered by the agreement (subject to approval).

Not sure which journal is the best fit for your research? Visit the journal list in the author guide to find a list of journals that are included in this agreement.

“Publishing with Elsevier through Boise State’s Read and Publish agreement was seamless. … This removed financial barriers to publication and opened my article to a global audience.”
