Anders Tobiason, multimedia development and user experience librarian at Albertsons Library, alongside Daniel Sanford, executive director of the Center for Teaching and Learning, and Kelly Arispe, launch director for the School for the Digital Future, received a $299,998 Accelerate Idaho Innovation Grant to advance artificial intelligence literacy across Boise State University and Idaho higher education.
The four-year project, “AI Literacy in the Disciplines: Departmental Capacity for Responsible AI Teaching and Learning,” received funding through the Idaho State Board of Education via the U.S. Department of Education’s Fund for the Improvement of Postsecondary Education (FIPSE).
As artificial intelligence continues to transform research and instruction, academic libraries play a vital role in guiding critical and ethical technology use. Tobiason’s role in this project highlights Albertsons Library’s dedication to campus collaboration, accessible learning, and student success.
