Biography
I was proud to join the faculty of the Department of Communication and Media at Boise State University in 2017. Go Broncos! My teaching background includes Fundamentals of Communication, Visual Communication, Public Speaking, Rhetorical Theory, and Marketing Communications.
I have a Master of Arts in Communication with a focus on Instructional Communication and Rhetoric and 6 years of experience teaching at the college level. I have taught face to face, hybrid and online courses. In addition to my service at Boise State, I was the head of Marketing Communications Instructor at College of Western Idaho which included curriculum and course development, community partnerships, recruitment and internship placement. I previously taught at California State Sacramento (CSUS) and Los Rios Community College. I also had the pleasure of working in the Office of Research, Innovation and Economic Development (ORIED), assisting with their Public Relations efforts.
Professionally, I have worked in Public Relations, Marketing Communications and Digital Marketing for 10 years. I have been fortunate to work for some of the best agencies in Northern California with amazing clients (Beach Blanket Babylon, Ghirardelli Chocolate, Macy’s, Ice Rink in Union Square, San Francisco General Hospital – currently known as Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital, American Pacific Mortgage, Kaia FIT, Sacramento Republic FC, DMV and California Office of Traffic Safety – just to name a few!)
I am married to my best friend and we have four children. I have a 2.5 year old son, 13 year old stepson and twin stepdaughters who are 9 years old. We love to adventure, hike, BBQ and of course enjoy a good movie night at home!
