Lloyd Lowe II

Lloyd Lowe joined the research group in the winter of 2008 as a Freshman in the Electrical and Computer Engineering program. He began as a member of the semiconductor device characterization team investigating zinc-oxide thin films in collaboration with NNU. Soon after he started working with the Nanophotonics team where he performed surface plasmon resonance measurements. In addition to this he uses LabVIEW to streamline testing procedures and create computer interfaces for various pieces of lab equipment.

Lloyd graduated from the College of Eastern Utah in 2002 with an A.S. in Computer Science and from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale in 2007 with a B.S. in Electonic Systems Technologies with an emphasis in Management. He came to Boise State University after transitioning from the military in the Spring of 2008 and intends to graduate in Spring of 2012.

  • Keithley 4200-SCS Semiconductor Characterization System
    • Perform I-V measurements on various devices
    • Connect to external equipment to perform other measurements:

    • Keithley user test module programming in C (KULT)
