Quantum DNA Research Group (Ultrafast Spectroscopy Team)

Ultrafast Spectroscopy Postdoctoral Research Fellow

Description: Candidates for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow (PD) position are sought to join an exciting and active team of chemists, physicists, and engineers to carry out research on exciton coherence and excited-state quenching in DNA-templated dye aggregates. The position will be part of the Quantum DNA (qDNA) Group, a subset of the Nanoscale Materials and Device Group in the Micron School of Materials Science & Engineering (MSMSE) at Boise State University. The position will be made available through a two year, $5M Department of Energy, Basic Energy Science grant (see e.g., DOE Announces $22 Million for Energy Research Projects in Underserved Regions) that started on August 15, 2021.

Salary: Offered annual salary depends on experience and qualifications and ranges from about $50,000 to $57,000 and the position is benefit eligible.

Minimum Qualifications: Requires a minimum of a Ph.D. or equivalent terminal degree in a relevant discipline.

Quantum DNA Research Group (Theory and Simulation Team)

Theoretical Modeling Postdoctoral Research Fellow

Description: The Boise State Quantum DNA (qDNA) Research Group and Theory and Simulation Team is seeking candidates for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow position to carry out theoretical and numerical modeling research on DNA-templated dye aggregate systems that exhibit exciton delocalization. This position will participate on research projects associated with the Quantum DNA Research Group, which is part of the Nanoscale Materials and Device Group (NMDG) in the Micron School of Materials Science and Engineering (MSMSE) at Boise State University.

Salary: Offered annual salary depends on experience and qualifications and ranges from about $50,000 to $57,000 and the position is benefit eligible.

Minimum Qualifications: Requires a minimum of a Ph.D. or equivalent terminal degree in a relevant discipline.
