School for the Digital Future Lecturer Margaret Sass has released a free online course and companion book to help seniors recognize and avoid scams that use artificial intelligence. The course is available through BroncoLearn with the support of Jackie Throngard. The Course, AI Scam Protection for Seniors, offers practical tips to stay safe online without fear or confusion.
Learners will discover how to spot voice cloning, deepfakes and text scams – protecting themselves from phishing and “too good to be true” offers.
The course is designed for everyone from tech-savvy seniors to those just learning to use a smartphone, with clear examples and easy steps to boost confidence online.
