The PLACE Scholars Graduate Internships Program is now accepting applications from interested students pursuing a master’s degree at Boise State.

The PLACE Scholars Graduate Internship Program is a funded summer program aimed at helping master’s students that want to work in environmental management careers. Participants will spend 10 weeks (minimum 30 hours a week) during the summer working directly with a community member around an environmental issue of their choosing, helping the student to deepen their knowledge around the environmental issue, expanding their professional networks and learning how the community is working to meet the demands of the chosen environmental issue.

Previous PLACE Scholars have included artists, public administrators, scientists and environmental managers. Master’s degree students from any discipline are encouraged to apply.

Applications are due by midnight on Sunday, Nov. 16.

There will be an information session on Wednesday, Oct. 29 at 1 p.m. for anyone who wants to learn more.
