Heather Sanders and Jennifer Obenshain from the School of Social Work and Amy Vecchione from Boise State eCampus Center were recently recognized by the University of Southern California’s Pullias Center for Higher Education for their work on a study titled “Building Connection and Confidence Through a Customized Online Adjunct Faculty Learning Community.” The study addresses research gaps in providing support to adjunct faculty who are teaching in fully online, asynchronous programs. Their research focuses on the effects and design of an adjunct faculty learning community, including faculty confidence, community and relationship development. The findings suggest that adjunct faculty participating in a customized learning community gain confidence and build community connections and relationships
The Pullias Center is one of the world’s leading research centers focused on higher education policy and practice.
