Reminder of University Foundations course numbering changes

Are you a student who hasn’t yet taken a required 100-Level or 200-level University Foundations course? Or a faculty member who advises such students?

Please note that Boise State recently changed the numbering system for UF courses to help students better understand content differences. While all 100-level and 200-level UF courses help students work on similar skills, the topics students investigate as they build those skills vary significantly by instructor.

Because there are many different thematic topics from which students can choose, sections are no longer offered under the single UF 100 or UF 200 designation. Instead, students can choose from many different course titles and numbers each semester (UF 101, UF 102, UF 203, UF 204, etc.) to fulfill the 100-level Foundations of Intellectual Life or 200-level Foundations of Ethics in Society requirements.

When students are ready to enroll in a 100-level or 200-level UF course, they can discover the thematic topics for an upcoming semester by searching the schedule in their myBoiseState student center for UF courses using the following guide: Search for UF Courses.
