Boise State is preparing for its Year Seven Evaluation of Institutional Effectiveness visit from the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities, which is responsible for Boise State’s accreditation.
The visit is a comprehensive evaluation of Boise State’s compliance with all commission accreditation standards and eligibility requirements. As part of this review, a peer evaluation team of external reviewers will assess the university’s institutional effectiveness, continuous improvement processes, transparency and fulfillment of its mission.
The commission’s peer evaluation team will visit campus April 8–10, 2026.
The commission reaffirmed Boise State’s accreditation in 2019. In 2022, it formally accepted Boise State’s Mid-Cycle Review Report. The upcoming visit in 2026 represents the next step in the university’s regular accreditation review cycle.
