The Division of Research and Economic Development is seeking faculty volunteers to serve on the Centers & Institutes Review Committee for the upcoming Program Prioritization and Research Centers & Institutes three-year review cycle. This committee plays a vital role in evaluating and providing constructive feedback to the university’s centers and institutes to ensure they continue to meet their missions and contribute effectively to our academic and research enterprise.
Two review committees will be formed and interested faculty may indicate their preference for service:
- Non-Research Centers & Institutes Committee – Program prioritization review only
- Research Centers & Institutes Committee – Program prioritization and 3-year university review (per Policy 5000)
The review period is scheduled for the last two weeks of February 2026, with all reviews due by Feb. 27, 2026. Committee members will be expected to:
- Participate in an initial briefing session to align on review processes and responsibilities
- Review center/institute reports
- Submit reviews based on a rubric
- Provide constructive feedback and recommendations for research centers & institutes
Faculty members with the following are sought:
- Understanding of university center/institute operations
- Experience with research centers/institutes sustainability (for the 3-year review committee)
- Commitment to thorough and fair assessment processes
- Availability during the February review period
