University accreditation visit: save the date

Boise State is preparing for its “Year Seven Evaluation of Institutional Effectiveness” visit from the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities, the university’s accrediting body. This visit is part of the university’s regular accreditation review cycle; the last comprehensive review occurred in 2019. A peer evaluation team will visit campus April 8-10, 2026. During the visit, open forums will be held for faculty, staff and students.

Forum schedule and guidelines

Faculty forum

  • For full- and part-time faculty only. Individuals who supervise faculty (e.g., deans, vice presidents, provosts) should not attend.
  • 2-2:50 p.m., Wednesday, April 8, Simplot Ballroom, Student Union Building

Staff forum

  • For employees who are not faculty and not in upper leadership positions with supervisory authority over a number of other attending staff.
  • 10–10:50 a.m., Thursday, April 9, Simplot Ballroom, Student Union Building

Student forum

  • For currently enrolled students.
    11–11:50 a.m., Thursday, April 9, Simplot Ballroom, Student Union Building

Individuals who belong to more than one group should attend the forum that reflects their primary role. Virtual participation is not available due to accreditation guidelines.
