Christopher Courtheyn, associate professor in the School of Public Service, was an invited speaker at Full Circle Health in Boise on Thursday, Feb. 26. His presentation, “Protective Accompaniment of Vulnerable Populations,” drew upon his global public service scholarship in Colombia. He shared analysis with resident family medicine physicians about how unarmed civilian peacekeepers from the Global North use presence and diplomacy to protect threatened communities in Global South war zones, to analyze and enrich the relationship between solidarity and public health.
