Global studies student awarded Fulbright scholarship

Leah Engle, a senior and Boise State Top Ten Scholar graduating this May with a Bachelor of Arts Global Studies, International Governance and Development Emphasis with a Minor in Refugee Studies, Certificate in Intermediate German and Certificate in +Business, was recently awarded a Fulbright scholarship to pursue a master’s degree in Germany.

The Fulbright award is a prestigious and highly competitive us-government funded program that allows for international education and cultural exchange. As a Fulbright Scholar, Leah will be pursuing her master’s in International Social Work with Refugees and Migrants from the Technical University of Applied Sciences in Wurzburg, Germany.

Leah shared of the honor, “I am beyond blessed to be a recipient of the Fulbright Award and am eager to be a representative of the United States and Boise State University as I embark on my next chapter in Germany! This opportunity is another blessing in my life that will continue to teach me how to serve and love those around the world.”
