At Boise State, we have a variety of perks and benefits available, including a generous array of leave options. Though not frequently used, the State of Idaho also supports paid leave to support individuals engaged in bone marrow or organ donation procedures.
All full-time, benefit-eligible employees of Boise State may take a one-time leave for bone marrow or organ donation. Employees are not required to use sick, vacation or annual leave during this approved absence. Leave balances will not be reduced and employees will continue to accrue credited state service and leave.
With a health care provider’s note, eligible employees may take up to five days of leave for bone marrow donation and up to 30 days for organ donation.
For more information, refer to Boise State’s time away from work policy, section 4.12.
