Shared Leadership program applications open: Apply soon, limited availability

The Shared Leadership program for Boise State employees is now accepting applications for the 2026-2028 cohort. Applications are due by June 8, 2026, and the two-year program will begin in fall 2026. Employees who are motivated to make a positive impact at Boise State are encouraged to apply.

Shared Leadership equips faculty and staff with the tools and insights they need to become active, influential leaders on campus. By combining practical leadership development with a deeper understanding of university operations, the program empowers participants to make meaningful contributions both within their departments and across the broader campus community.

Programs key benefits:

  • Sessions that integrate practical leadership tools with a corresponding campus/community activity or speaker in every session.
  • Opportunities to take part as leaders in real and hypothetical situations.
  • Fosters a collaborative and supportive environment that encourages partnerships, friendships and the exchange of leadership experiences.
  • Mentorship from leaders within or beyond the campus community to explore different leadership styles.
  • A strong record of career advancement, with many participants experiencing meaningful professional growth and new opportunities at Boise State.

Eligibility criteria at the time of application:

  • Hold a benefit-eligible position at Boise State, working 20 or more hours per week.
  • Intend to remain employed at Boise State for the duration of the two-year program.
  • Share a commitment to Boise State University and its community.
  • Commit to full participation in the 2026-2027 program year and help plan and deliver the 2027-2028 program (with minimal absences).
  • Obtain supervisor’s approval before applying.
