Furlong opens solo exhibition at The Common Well

Kirsten Furlong, director of the Blue Galleries and lecturer and the Department of Art, Design and Visual Studies will open her solo exhibition at The Common Well in Garden City, Idaho on Friday, June 5 at 6 p.m. with a reception and artist talk.

Furlong’s exhibition, titled “To Talk About Trees,” includes monumental and richly detailed works on paper alongside intimate, hand-stitched explorations on felt and linen. The exhibition is supported by a 2026 grant from Boise State’s School of the Arts. The work was created during Furlong’s time in 2025 as the Alexa Rose Foundation fellow.

The exhibition will run from June 5 to July 24 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday at The Common Well at 11 W. 31st St. in Garden City, Idaho.
