Navigating campus during summer construction

A number of projects will cause disruption to areas of campus throughout the summer.

Albertsons Library

The library will be closed twice for a switchgear replacement.

  • May 11-29: Full building outage – no access
  • June 29 to July 31: Full building outage – no access

Boise River Greenbelt

The greenbelt, from Theater Lane to the Broadway Bridge will be closed to all users for improvements. Pedestrians and cyclists must detour to the north side of the river via the Friendship or Broadway Bridges during the closure.

  • July 6 to Sept. 11: No access

Math Building

The Math Building will be closed for a switchgear replacement.

  • June 1-29: Full building outage – no access

Westmark Student Union Building

The building will be receiving a new roof and access will be limited at the following times:

  • June 27-28: Building closed
  • June 29 to Dec. 29: Access may be limited in early mornings and evenings for telescopic handler access.

West Stadium Lot and Bronco Lane

Work in this area will begin May 11 and continue through Sept. 11. There are four phases of the project and a different area will be closed during each phase. Sections of the road and parking lot will reopen upon the completion of each phase.

  • Phase 1: West section of Bronco Lane
  • Phase 2: North section of West Stadium lot between ExtraMile Arena and Chaffee Hall. This phase also includes a small portion of the lot in front of the entrance to the North Tower and Stueckle Sky Center
    • The closures in this phase will block access to/from the greenbelt through the West Stadium lot. Cyclists should detour to Theater Lane.
  • Phase 3: Southwest section of West Stadium lot between Bronco Gym and ExtraMile Arena
  • Phase 4: East section of Bronco Lane and a small section of the West Stadium lot in front of the Bronco Athletics ticket Office
