The Boise River Greenbelt from Theater Lane to the Broadway Bridge is closed to pedestrians and cyclists from July 6 to Sept. 15, 2026. Users must detour to the north side of the river via the Friendship or Broadway Bridges.
Cesar Chavez Lane is also closed to all vehicles except for emergency and contractor traffic adjacent to the construction zone.
The closure is to facilitate a construction project that will create better sight lines, improved crossings and enhanced infrastructure.
