Boise State recently resumed the search for Vice President for Finance and Chief Financial Officer (VP-CFO) and announced the launch of a national search for the next Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs.
Based on the desired timeline for a provost appointment in early spring 2027, the Office of the Provost, working closely with Boise State Human Resources, would like to announce a planning process for dean searches during the fall 2026 semester. This will include an anonymous survey for faculty and staff in the impacted colleges to seek their input related to the search process and the dean positions. Additionally, before initiating any dean searches, the university will host listening sessions with the faculty, staff, students, and stakeholders in each college to frame position profiles and prepare to launch possible dean searches as early as the spring 2027 semester.
Boise State has a number of dean positions that are currently under interim leadership. The university extends sincere gratitude and appreciation to each of the following individuals for their ongoing leadership service in their respective roles:
- Michelle Armstrong, interim dean, Albertsons Library
- Niki Callison, interim dean, Extended Studies
- Marie-Anne de Graaff, interim dean, College of Arts and Sciences
- Andrew Finstuen, interim dean, College of Education and Public Service
