With the fall semester quickly approaching, preparations are underway for Bronco Welcome, starting Aug. 19, 2026. Save the date and consider volunteering to create a welcoming atmosphere during the first weeks of the semester for the incoming class.
There are several ways to contribute:
- Residence Hall Move-in: Move-in will take place on Aug. 19-20. Volunteers will greet students and their families, answer questions, and assist with wayfinding as you help them move into residence halls. This is a great opportunity to showcase what it means to be part of the Bronco community.
- Convocation: Convocation is the official academic welcome to the university for new students starting at 2 p.m. on Aug. 21 in ExtraMile Arena. Volunteers will greet students and families and help them find their seats.
- B on The Blue: This annual photograph of students and their families inside Albertsons Stadium will immediately follow Convocation. Volunteers are needed to create a “spirit tunnel,” welcoming guests onto The Blue, and additional volunteers to direct guests into the formation of the Boise State “B.”
- Info Tables: Friendly faculty and staff volunteers are needed to answer questions from students about navigating the campus. Volunteers will be stationed at information tables around campus during the first week of classes.
Supervisor approval should be confirmed before registering for a volunteer role.
