Boise State trumpet student Tyler Anderson won this year’s annual concerto competition sponsored by the Magic Valley Symphony. Anderson, a sophomore music performance major, earned the prestigious honor of performing as a featured soloist alongside the Magic Valley Symphony during its upcoming concert on Oct. 15 at the College of Southern Idaho.
The highly competitive annual event showcases the exceptional skill and artistry of top student musicians from the region. For the upcoming featured performance, Anderson will take center stage to perform Oskar Böhme’s Concerto for Trumpet and Orchestra, a masterwork they have been preparing rigorously over the past several months. Anderson is a student of Associate Professor Zach Buie.
