Virtual New Student Orientation

Image of welcome to Boise State banner in the sunlight

We’ve designed your virtual orientation with care, so you can still experience all that Boise State has to offer. You’ll meet with an advisor, register for classes and be connected with an Orientation Leader, a current student leader, who will support you during your virtual orientation program and throughout the summer as you prepare for the fall semester. Then, when you arrive on campus in August, the connection-making begins! We’re working hard to provide all the great in-person programming you’d normally expect at your orientation program, but it will happen as you join us on campus.*

Your virtual New Student Orientation will begin with signing up for your virtual program dates to secure the advising and registration day that best works with your schedule. Once you have signed up for classes, you will go through an online module that will give you additional access to financial aid consults, student panels on student life at Boise State, and other offices on campus that support you in and outside the classroom.

*The New Student Programs team continues to monitor and work alongside Boise State University with updates regarding COVID-19 (coronavirus). As the situation evolves, we will update this site with any changes.

What to expect from your virtual orientation:

  • Academic advising and class registration
  • Financial Aid one-on-one consultations
  • Q & A Sessions about Bill Pay
  • Guidance from Housing and Residential Life professionals
  • Student panels related to life as a Bronco
  • Other resources like dining, parking, etc.
