Admitted to Nursing

Excited nursing students pose in a hallway.

Congratulations on your admission to the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program. We’re thrilled to have you join us on your journey to becoming a Bronco Nurse!  Please review the information on this page so you are prepared for your first semester in the program.

Save your seat deposit

You must reserve your spot in the incoming class by submitting the online Nursing Enrollment Intention form and paying the $100 “Pre-License Save Your Seat” fee. The form and payment link will be shared in your admission offer email. For those enrolled in the program, this fee will be returned to you the 2nd week of the semester.

Orientation

Both a mandatory pre-orientation zoom session and an in-person orientation is required prior to the beginning of classes. The pre-orientation zoom session will take place around the time of registration. The in-person takes place on the Friday before classes begin and is usually 6-7 hours long.

Background checks

Background Checks are required before entering clinical facilities. Students are required to repeat the background check process prior to each semester by pre-announced dates. The fee for these criminal background checks is your financial responsibility. If the criminal background check indicates a criminal history, you may be required to withdraw from the School of Nursing.
You will be given information about when and where to complete your background check in your acceptance materials. You must utilize the company we indicate to complete your background check. For more complete information please refer to the Undergraduate Clinical Compliance policy (UG-07).

Health requirements

You must meet certain health requirements to enter clinical facilities. The fees for meeting these health requirements are your financial responsibility. If new students are unable to successfully complete the requirements by identified deadlines, they will be dismissed from the Program.

Transcripts

Transcripts are required as proof of completion and documentation of a passing grade (“C” or better) for “In Progress” course(s), by May 30 if starting in Fall or December 30 if starting in Spring.
