Jeannine Suter, MSN, BSN, RN

Clinical Assistant Professor, School of Nursing

Jeannine Suter has enjoyed a diverse career in nursing since she graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2006 from Idaho State University. She initially pursued a degree in anthropology and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Cultural Anthropology from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 1996. After her professional journey led her to nursing, her career as an RN began in 2006 at St. Luke’s Boise Medical Center in the surgical intensive care unit. Following her work in the ICU, she transitioned to the interventional radiology department and the post-anesthesia unit.

In 2016, Suter left the hospital and began working for the Boise School District as a school nurse. In her fourth year as a school RN, she decided to pursue her Master of Science in Nursing, with an emphasis in education and leadership and graduated with her MSN from Northwest Nazarene University in 2021. Her capstone project focused on school-based health centers and methods to increase vaccination rates for school children in the State of Idaho.

While pursuing her MSN, she also served as an adjunct professor for Boise State’s School of Nursing. Suter brings her passion for community health as well as her diverse nursing background to Boise State as a full-time faculty member and clinical assistant professor in the School of Nursing in fall 2021. She is an active member of Sigma Theta Tau and the American Nurse’s Association.

Suter enjoys camping, skiing, and anything that involves spending time with her husband and three young daughters.
