She initially pursued a degree in anthropology and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Cultural Anthropology from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 1996. Her capstone project focused on school-based health centers and methods to increase vaccination rates for school children in the State of Idaho.

While pursuing her MSN, she also served as an adjunct professor for Boise State’s School of Nursing. Suter brings her passion for community health as well as her diverse nursing background to Boise State as a full-time faculty member and clinical assistant professor in the School of Nursing in fall 2021.
