Jennifer Kepler, MEd
Simulation Center Operations Coordinator, School of Nursing
In November 2017, Jennifer Kepler joined the Boise State School of Nursing in the role of Simulation Operations Specialist. Kepler has held a variety of positions within healthcare and higher education settings and holds two degrees from Oregon State University, a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Master of Education with an emphasis in Adult Learning.
After earning a bachelor’s, Kepler’s work as a research assistant in marine biomedical research took her from Oregon State to Scripps Institution of Oceanography. Following her time at Scripps, she transitioned into a new role, which corresponded with her return to Oregon, supporting training and development efforts for translational researchers at Oregon Health and Science University. More recently, while working at the OHSU School of Nursing’s Monmouth Campus, she developed an interest in simulation operations and has enjoyed working alongside faculty to provide operational and technical support within simulation in healthcare education ever since.
Kepler and her family moved to the Boise area in 2017 and has enjoyed the many opportunities for outdoor adventures with her young children. As an alumna of Oregon State, Kepler has a fondness for all things orange and has become accustomed to our blue turf, saying “it’s much better in person than on TV!”
