NP Clinical Placement Coordinator, and Associate Clinical Professor , School of Nursing

Jennifer Stock, an experienced educator and family nurse practitioner, joined the School of Nursing as clinical faculty in 2016. As a professor, Stock’s research interests include clinic-based social learning platforms, high-quality simulation, and provider engagement. Her clinical expertise includes family practice, pain management, and mental health. She continues her clinical practice at University Health Services at Boise State University and St. Alphonsus’ urgent care centers.

Stock earned a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from the University of Utah in 2018, and has taught graduate and undergraduate nursing students for 13 years. Stock is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, and Nurse Practitioners of Idaho and is certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center. In 2009-11, she served on the executive board of Utah Nurse Practitioner Association and was awarded Faculty of the Year at Westminster College in Salt Lake City, Utah in 2014.

Stock utilizes active learning assignments, interactive group work and actual case studies to prepare nurses to practice with excellence. In her free time, she enjoys exploring Idaho with her family.
