Portrait of Tracee Chapman

Tracee Chapman is an Idaho native, born in Boise. After Receiving her bachelor’s in nursing from Boise State University in 2015, she began her career in the emergency department. While in the ED, she certified in adult and pediatric trauma care. She is currently a certified emergency nurse along with certifications in adult/pediatric advanced life support, and neonatal resuscitation.

She worked for a short period monitoring loop recorders, and most recently spent two years as a junior high school nurse. She has also been a member of the Canyon County SAFE team working as a forensic nurse for the past four years. Her work as a SANE has been an honor and privilege to provide trauma-informed, holistic care to survivors of violence.

Chapman learned early in her career that she loved precepting in the hospital environment and wanted to pursue teaching nursing students. As a nurse dedicated to life-long learning, she received her master’s in leadership and education from Northwest Nazarene University in 2021, and is excited to transition into a full time faculty member at Boise State University.

When not working on call or picking up a shift in the ED, Chapman enjoys RV camping with her husband, two sons, and two dogs. She and her family love swimming, kayaking, and visiting national parks.
