Simulation Specialist
After earning her nursing credentials from the School of Nursing at the Altonaer Kinderkrankenhaus (Altona Pediatric Hospital) in Hamburg, Germany, Birgit moved to the United States. She graduated from Boise State in 2017. After teaching middle school math and science at a private school, she moved into a position as an associate librarian at Ada Community Library. While there, she was awarded grants for senior technology education and creative aging, and enjoyed creating programs for a wide variety of ages, from preschool music and movement to the library’s adult art night.
Her role as a Simulation Specialist sits right at the intersection of medicine, technology, education and creativity, all of which are a great fit with Birgit’s background experience.
In her free time, Birgit can be found taking photographs, reading, or volunteering at the Morrison Center.
