Clinical Assistant Professor
Brittany Watson is a proud Boise State alumna earning her Associate of Science in Nursing in 2008, followed by her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2010. She later completed her Master of Science in Nursing with an emphasis in Leadership and Education from Northwest Nazarene University in 2023. Her clinical career spans more than 15 years in emergency and urgent care nursing.
She joined the Boise State School of Nursing as an adjunct faculty member in the pre-licensure program in 2021 and accepted a full-time faculty position in 2022. During her time in the pre-licensure program, Brittany taught a variety of undergraduate nursing courses while also serving as the Clinical Placement Coordinator, Adjunct Coordinator, and Interim Co-Program Director. After spending a year teaching in both the pre-licensure and RN–BSN programs, Brittany returned as a full-time faculty member in the RN–BSN Completion Track in Fall 2026. Outside of teaching, she is a member of the Sigma Mu Gamma Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, previously serving as the chapter’s secretary, reflecting her commitment to nursing leadership and professional service.
Brittany is passionate about helping registered nurses build confidence as leaders, strengthen their professional practice, and advance their careers through continued education. She enjoys mentoring students and contributing to curriculum and course development while creating engaging learning experiences that foster critical thinking, collaboration, and a pursuit of lifelong learning. In her personal life, Brittany enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and exploring all the world has to offer. Her husband is a pilot for a fractional ownership company, and together they stay busy with their two girls and all that life brings.
As a longtime Idaho resident since childhood, she appreciates the opportunity to educate the next generation of nurses at the same university where her own nursing journey began.
