Eppie LaBiche was born and raised in Southern Louisiana. An online adjunct faculty member for the RN to BSN Nursing Program, her experiences in healthcare have been quite diverse in that LaBiche has been an educator for more than 18 years, and has taught online for more than 11 years. LaBiche has also been involved in management for 12 years and is very proactive in bedside nursing. LaBiche’s background includes acute care specific to Nursing Administration; Med/Surg; Telemetry; Orthopedics; and Inpatient Rehabilitation, hospice, and home health. LaBiche earned her BSN from William Carey College; MSN (Masters of Science in Nursing) from the University of Phoenix and MBA/HCA from South University.

LaBiche’s educational philosophy is simple in that everyone has the ability to learn regardless of their station in life. However, it is critical that students are ready to learn and not be intimidated by the advanced technology and new knowledge that exist in today’s world. To be successful with online learning, it requires commitment, ownership, communication and being proactive rather than reactive by both the students and the facilitators (instructors) alike…always ask questions.

On a more personal note, LaBiche enjoys reading motivational books. Some of her recommendations include Ken Blanchard: The One Minute Manager Meets the Monkey; The Leadership Pill; Who Moved My Cheese? (Spencer Johnson and Ken Blanchard) and OG Mandino: The Greatest Salesman in the World (Part I and II); The Twelfth Angel; The Choice; The Spellbinder’s Gift. In addition, you will find LaBiche cooking in the winter and gardening in the summer.
