Lisa Miklush joined the School of Nursing in 2015 as an adjunct faculty in the online RN-BS Completion Track. Prior to coming to Boise State, Lisa taught full time in both on-campus and online nursing programs at Gonzaga University in Spokane, WA, where she continues to serve as an adjunct faculty.

Lisa began her nursing career with an ADN from Pasadena City College in Pasadena, CA. She then earned her BSN and MSN with a nursing education emphasis from Azusa Pacific University in Azusa, CA. She earned her doctorate from the University of San Diego.

Her nursing experience has included cardiac telemetry/medical-surgical, neonatal intensive care, and mother-baby-lactation care. As a clinical nurse specialist she supported clinical education and quality improvement in various acute care settings. Her teaching experience is in both undergraduate and graduate nursing, in topics such as obstetrics, pathophysiology, pharmacology, health assessment, nursing fundamentals, evidence-based practice, and nursing education.

Lisa enjoys being an educator and believes in the powerful force of education to shape minds, transform lives, and make the world a better place.
