Shoni Davis earned her BSN degree in nursing from Idaho State University in 1980 and her Masters in Psychosocial Nursing (MSN) from the University of Utah in 1984. In 1992 she graduated from UCLA with her PhD in nursing. Dr. Davis’s clinical specialty area is mental health nursing, perinatal drug addiction, and women’s behavioral health issues.
Dr. Davis joined the BSU School of Nursing faculty in 2005. She has taught in all of the BSU nursing programs including the pre-licensure, the Masters in Population Nursing, the RN-BSN Completion Track, and the AGNP programs. In addition, Dr. Davis has chaired scholarly projects for DNP students. She has taught a variety of topics but tends to focus on theoretical nursing, research and evaluation, and population health. Dr. Davis teaches on-line courses exclusively and has taught for both BSU School of Nursing and University of Phoenix in this capacity with over 12 years of on-line teaching experience.
Dr. Davis retired in 2016 with Emeritus status. She continues to teach as an adjunct in the RN-BS Completion Track and the AGNP Program.
