Vivian Schrader, PhD, MSN, RN, CNE

Dr. Schrader’s career has encompassed all aspects of improving health care outcomes for patients and includes a focus in nursing education and leadership. She has been the co-investigator on several research projects over the years, most recently studying nursing practice ethics and moral distress which has expanded to the international arena. Publications include articles in the Journal of Nursing Education, Nursing Education Perspectives, Journal of Nursing Administration, the Annual Review Nursing Education, and Nursing Ethics. She has also presented internationally.

Dr. Schrader has been a Fulbright Senior Specialist since 2008. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau, American Nurses Association and Idaho Nurses Association. Her leisure activities include: traveling, hiking, cooking and spending time with family.

Dr. Schrader earned her PhD in Education at the University of Idaho, a Masters in Nursing from Idaho State University with a focus on Nursing Education, and a BSN from the University of Colorado. She holds a certification in Nursing Education.
