Modern Healthcare<\/a>\u2018s 50 Most Influential Clinical Executives list for 2020 features two members of the College of Health Science\u2019s Board of Ambassadors: Maryann Reese<\/a> and Odette Bolano<\/a>. The annual awards honor the top trailblazers in healthcare who are improving the industry through their innovation and leadership qualities as executives. The individuals are voted for by Modern Healthcare readers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOur board of ambassadors is a highly-skilled and dedicated group of executives who have given much of their lives to promoting the health and well-being to individuals and communities,\u201d said College of Health Sciences Dean Tim Dunnagan. \u201cTo have two individuals who are recognized as the top health executives in the nation speaks to the quality of the board members. Their contributions to the college have been significant.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maryann Reese<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Reese, a Boise State alumna (BS, nursing, \u201992), is the president and chief executive officer of Saint Francis Healthcare System in Missouri. Being selected for this year\u2019s Modern Healthcare award is a great honor and the pinnacle of her career to date, she said. She also credited Boise State for helping pave the pathway to her success.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cMy nursing degree from Boise State laid the foundation of who I am today as a professional,\u201d Reese said. \u201cIt is a privilege to serve as a healthcare leader and my time at Boise State helped shaped me into the leader I am today.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She joined the college\u2019s Board of Ambassadors to help shape the education and direction of future healthcare colleagues. The board is an advisory and advocacy group led by Dunnagan and Heather Jauregui, senior director of development. Members like Reese work through strategic issues and advocate for resources and programs that enhance the College of Health Sciences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bolano is the president and chief executive officer of the Saint Alphonsus Health System in Boise. She serves on the Board of Ambassadors with Reese, as well as the Boise State University Foundation Board of Directors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
