Grant funding is now available to encourage experimentation with open educational resources (OER)–course materials that are free and openly licensed. These grants are intended for projects that will grow our academic community’s awareness of how OER can complement or replace expensive teaching and learning resources. The funding is made possible by the Office of the Provost and will be administered by the Boise State OER Group.
Faculty may request grants ranging from $500 to $5,000 to support their adoption (use, development, revision, etc.) of OER as a supplement or replacement for commercial materials in Boise State courses. The following populations to submit proposals:
- Individual faculty members
- Faculty groups
- Faculty and professional staff groups
- Faculty and student groups
We especially encourage faculty who teach at both Boise State and the College of Western Idaho or faculty who are engaged in K-12 Partnerships (such as concurrent enrollment) to apply for grant funding.
The deadline to apply for OER Grants is April 30, 2019. Find more information, application details, and examples of possible projects and budgets on the OER website or contact email@example.com for more information or assistance with proposals.
