Google Docs Now Has Autocorrect

G Suite

Autocorrect is now available for Google Docs on the web!

This feature speeds up composition of your documents by correcting misspelled words as you type. Corrected words are identified with a grey dashed underline. As you continue typing, the underline will disappear.

To undo a correction, just hit backspace, and select “Undo” while hovering over the word.

If you prefer not to use autocorrect, you can disable it by going to Tools > Preferences and unchecking “Automatically correct spelling.”

You can read more about this feature by visiting Google’s G Suite blog.

If you have questions about Google Docs or any of the G Suite applications, contact the Help Desk at (208) 426-4357 or email helpdesk@boisestate.edu.
