Resources and Support for Working Remotely at Boise State

Working Remotely

The Office of Information Technology provides services and resources for faculty and staff who choose to work from home or other remote locations:

  • Boise State VPN (virtual private networking) helps protect your data by ensuring secure network connectivity over public Wi-Fi networks, and allows access to network shares and remote desktop.
  • Microsoft Office and several mathematical and statistical programs are provided at no charge for installation on personal computers.
  • Zoom, Google Hangouts Meet, Panopto, and other web-based services are available for you to set up and/or participate in audio or video meetings, screencasts, or record and share video.

See our Working Remotely web page for information about these and other available telecommuting services. Contact the Help Desk for questions or assistance at (208) 426-4357 or
