Boise State Research Computing is offering an online Quantum Computing Overview workshop Thursday, April 30 between 1:00 pm and 2:00 pm.
This free digital session will provide a brief overview of quantum computing as an emerging field in computer science.
Some basic theory will be presented but most of the session will focus on using Google’s Cirq Python library for creating simple circuits.
If you don’t already have an account on Boise State’s R2 compute cluster Research Computing will provide you with a guest account. Installing Python and Cirq before the session will be helpful, as will some familiarity with linear algebra (but not required).
Registration for the workshop by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. Research Computing will send calendar invites to registered participants.
