The Office of Information Technology is upgrading our Boise State Zoom account management tools which means that current students, faculty, researchers and employees will only be able to use Boise State email addresses for Boise State Zoom accounts.

We understand it’s a little confusing, so:

  • Sign in to personal Zoom accounts with personal email addresses at zoom.us.
  • Sign in to your Boise State Zoom account with a Boise State email address at boisestate.zoom.us.

Required Next Steps

Current Boise State students, faculty, staff and researchers have access to a fully-featured Zoom account and can access this account using their Boise State email address to sign into Zoom at boisestate.zoom.us.

Anyone signing into Zoom at zoom.us with a Boise State email address will be prompted to join to their Boise State Zoom account or change their email address.

Current Students, Employees, Faculty and Researchers: Consolidate to Your Boise State Zoom Account

Current students, employees, faculty members and researchers at Boise State, should follow the prompts to “join Boise State’s Zoom account.”

You can find detailed instructions on this process on the Zoom Account Consolidation support page.

Following consolidation, all current Boise State community members should sign in to their Boise State Zoom account using their Boise State email address at boisestate.zoom.us.

Alumni and Non-Active Boise State Community Members: Change Your Email Address

Alumni and non-active Boise State community members who sign in to Zoom at zoom.us will be prompted to join to the Boise State Zoom Account or change their email address: please change your email address to a personal email address that is not a Boise State email address (Gmail, Yahoo, etc.).

You can find detailed instructions on how to change your email address for personal Zoom accounts on the Zoom Account Consolidation support page.

Alumni have access to Boise State email addresses as long as they like, but will not be able to use this email address for personal Zoom accounts in the near future.

Anyone With a Paid Zoom Subscription

Anyone who pays for a personal Zoom subscription, and uses a Boise State email address with that account, you will need to either consolidate to your Boise State Zoom account (current Boise State community members) or change your email address (alumni and non-active community members).

You can find detailed instructions on how to receive a refund if you use your personal account for Boise State classes, teaching or work on the Zoom Account Consolidation support page.

Zoom will provide information to refund personal account subscriptions to active Boise State community members. All billing questions must be directed to Zoom Support.

The Boise State Help Desk can not provide support with billing questions.
