Make Your Video and Audio Content Accessible for Everyone

Computer monitor with closed caption and text-to-speech symbols.

Video and audio content on Boise State’s public websites must be accessible to everyone regardless of ability. It’s required by University Policy 8140 and is the right thing to do.

Presenting your media content correctly allows visitors to access it on any device in whatever way they prefer.

We’ve updated our video and audio accessibility resources to help you understand how easy it is to create alternative descriptions, add meaningful captions (instead of relying on auto-generated captions only), and take other steps to be sure everyone has equal access to your media content.

Visit our Video and Audio Content Accessibility Resources page on Webguide for details, and links to additional information about how to use Panopto, Camtasia, YouTube, and other software to learn about current guidelines and best practices.
