Duo Multi-factor Authentication Required On Campus Beginning July 8

Duo multi factor authentication

Last May, the Office of Information Technology implemented Duo multi-factor security for VPN connections. A few months later, Duo expanded to other Boise State applications such as myBoiseState, Google Workspace, and Zoom.

Beginning Thursday, July 8 Duo will also be required when accessing your Boise State account from on-campus locations.

Most of us are already familiar with using Duo, but there are a couple of things to keep in mind:

  • If you log in to computers in different locations on campus (classrooms, for example), please remember to take your phone with you. This ensures you can always access your Boise State account.
  • If you use the phone call option to authenticate, you may want to consider adding an office phone number to your Duo account or switching to the Duo Mobile app.
  • If you have not yet used Duo, please complete your enrollment for multi-factor authentication as soon as possible.

Information about changing your Duo authentication methods or completing your enrollment is available on our website. You may also contact the OIT Help Desk at (208) 426-4357, email helpdesk@boisestate.edu, or chat.

Thank you for your commitment to keeping our systems, and your information, safe!
