New Search Chips in Google Drive

Search bar with different search chip options

Searching in Google Drive is now easier and faster with “search chips.”

Search chips allow you to refine your search results and eliminate the need to perform multiple searches or sort through irrelevant results.

To use search chips, enter one or more keywords in the Google Drive search bar, and search chips will appear to help you filter your content.

Choose from six different search chip options, including:

  • Location
  • File type
  • People
  • Last modified
  • Titles only
  • To-do
