RMACC HPC Symposium comes to Boise (with special Boise State pricing)

Registration is now open for the 2026 Rocky Mountain Advanced Computing Consortium (RMACC) HPC Symposium, taking place May 12 to 14 at Boise State University in the Student Union Building. Because this year’s event is in Boise, it is an especially convenient opportunity to participate.

The RMACC HPC Symposium is a regional event where researchers, students and industry professionals come together to explore how high-performance computing is actively shaping modern research, AI and data-intensive work.

Keynote speakers Dr. Steven Pentland of Boise State University and Brian Smith of Idaho National Laboratory will offer perspectives on how advanced computing is being applied in both academic and national lab settings.

Whether you’re already using HPC resources or just starting to explore what’s possible, this event is designed to help connect broader trends in HPC with real-world challenges in the community. You’ll learn practical approaches you can take back to your own work and get exposure to tools and ideas that are driving innovation across science, engineering and beyond.

The symposium also creates space to connect with others across the Rocky Mountain region. RMACC is built on collaboration among academic and research institutions, with a mission to expand the effective use of high-performance computing. This event supports that collaboration across the region.

Plan to attend if you’re looking to:

  • Stay current with rapidly evolving HPC and AI capabilities
  • Learn directly from practitioners and researchers
  • Build connections that support your work long after the event

Boise State faculty and staff attendees can receive $75 off registration using code Boisediscount.

The symposium brings together the community shaping the future of research computing.
