{"id":2000013901,"date":"2025-08-26T14:55:07","date_gmt":"2025-08-26T20:55:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.boisestate.edu\/oit\/?p=2000013901"},"modified":"2025-08-26T14:55:09","modified_gmt":"2025-08-26T20:55:09","slug":"bolt-named-interim-associate-vice-president-and-chief-information-officer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.boisestate.edu\/oit\/2025\/08\/26\/bolt-named-interim-associate-vice-president-and-chief-information-officer\/","title":{"rendered":"Bolt named Interim Associate Vice President and Chief Information Officer"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Boise State University is pleased to announce that Brian Bolt, deputy chief information officer in the Office of Information Technology, has been appointed interim associate vice president and chief information officer while the university begins preparations to launch a nationwide search following the departure of Max Davis-Johnson.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Davis-Johnson served at Boise State for more than a decade as associate vice president and chief information officer, during which time the Office of Information Technology implemented significant advancements in campus technology, cybersecurity and digital infrastructure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bolt brings considerable experience and institutional knowledge to this interim role. As deputy CIO, he has played a key role in the university\u2019s enterprise-scale technology transformation efforts, including the CRM (Salesforce) initiative and the adoption of cloud-based solutions. He has also been actively involved in cross-disciplinary AI collaborations, strengthening connections among faculty, staff, and vendors, and helping cultivate AI literacy and innovation across campus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cBrian\u2019s leadership and deep commitment to advancing technology solutions for our campus community, coupled with his extensive knowledge of campus, make him well qualified to guide the Office of Information Technology during this important transitional period,\u201d said Vice President for Research and Economic Development Nancy Glenn, who currently oversees the Office of Information Technology. \u201cI\u2019m confident his steady hand will help maintain momentum and ensure continuity in our IT priorities.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI\u2019m grateful for the chance to support the continued progress of our talented team,\u201d said Bolt. \u201cGuided by OIT\u2019s mission, we\u2019ll focus on delivering people-centered, reliable, and innovative technology solutions that strengthen learning, research, and campus life.
