Tailor your learning

The online Bachelor of Arts in Project Management offers an optional certificate and four emphasis areas, allowing you to tailor your degree to your goals as you learn to become a project manager. They include:

  • Business Management emphasis: Gain the skills to effectively lead and manage business operations and organize projects in a management role. Learn to adapt to the dynamic nature of modern business environments, develop strategic plans and make informed decisions.
  • Communications Management emphasis: Equip yourself with the skills and knowledge to effectively communicate and collaborate in project management settings. Learn to excel in various aspects of project communication, convey information, manage conflicts and establish clear communication channels to ensure project success.
  • Cyber Security emphasis: Acquire the skills and knowledge necessary to identify and assess cybersecurity risks, implement security measures and ensure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of project data and information. Gain a deep understanding of cybersecurity principles, practices, technologies and how they apply to project management in technology industries and sectors.
  • Public Health emphasis: Develop the skills and knowledge necessary to plan, implement and evaluate projects related to health promotion, disease prevention, healthcare delivery and public health policy. This emphasis area provides you with a comprehensive understanding of project management principles and practices, with a specific focus on public health initiatives.
  • Certificate in Project Management: Learn to develop project plans, manage timelines, work with stakeholders and execute strategic goals.

Emphasis areas must be completed within a degree program. Certificates may be completed independently or in conjunction with a degree program.
