If you are an adult and nontraditional student with a technical associate degree (Associate of Applied Science), Intermediate Technical Certificate (ITC), an Advanced Technical Certificate (ATC) or other college credits, Boise State University’s online Bachelor of Applied Science offers the opportunity to complete your baccalaureate education and facilitate a career change.

This flexible, interdisciplinary program is designed for working adults. You can apply up to 80 previously earned technical credits, helping you move forward without starting over.

The program curriculum is offered online with no in-person requirements. Classes run year-round and you can complete the curriculum at a flexible full-time or part-time pace that works with your schedule.

The applied science degree is also affordable because you pay in-state tuition regardless of where you live.

You can tailor your Bachelor of Applied Science to fit your career interests by choosing a concentration or an emphasis area. Options include:

  • Business Administration: Build skills in leadership, marketing, operations and financial decision-making.
  • Cyber Operations Essentials: Learn how to protect systems and data by identifying risks and supporting secure networks across industries.
  • Early Childhood Education: Support child development and family engagement while building skills in instruction, advocacy and leadership.
  • Health Administration: Explore how social, cultural and economic factors shape health care systems while supporting quality care and informed decision-making.
  • Project Management: Strengthen skills in planning, timelines, stakeholder communication and executing projects while preparing for theCertified Associate in Project Management exam or Project Management Professional certification.

You’ll work closely with an advisor to map your degree to your career goals. Many students finish in as few as 17 months when attending full time.
